Jain Residence

The Jain Residence is designed to feel natural and approachable, using soft curves that lead the eye across its form as if the building were sculpted by hand. While the exterior appears smooth and organic, this effect is actually achieved through a careful arrangement of straight lines that diverge slightly to create a sense of fluid movement. The design is a reflection of the family’s shared values, bringing together the traditions of Christianity, Jainism, and Hinduism while staying true to the principles of Vastu. Natural light plays a central role throughout the home, particularly in the basement where an innovative Y-column opens up the space to the sky, connecting the sunken courtyard with the verdant world above. Located near local temples, the house is oriented to capture morning sunlight and the peaceful atmosphere of its surroundings. With its three-sided open plot and rooms that circle a central living area, the residence serves as a bright, airy sanctuary that balances modern design with a deep respect for faith and nature.
