Mango Orchid
Mango Orchards is envisioned as an architecture deeply rooted in its landscape, where the existing trees become the starting point of the design rather than an obstacle to it. Located in Meerut, the project was planned with careful documentation of every existing tree on site, mapping their foliage spread, trunk positions, and ecological presence before any architectural intervention. Instead of imposing geometry onto the land, the built form bends, opens, and flows around the natural growth, preserving the raw identity of the orchard while allowing architecture and landscape to coexist seamlessly.
The spatial language emerges through abstract, organic movements inspired by calligraphic strokes fluid gestures wrapping around trees and defining circulation, open spaces, and built masses. The architecture avoids rigidity and embraces a softer, evolving flow that blends into nature rather than competing with it. Pathways, courts, and transitions are shaped by movement through shade, foliage, and light, creating an experience that feels instinctive and grounded. The project intentionally retains a raw and earthy character, where nature dictates rhythm, and architecture simply follows.
