Amar Heights
Amar Heights is a middle-income group housing development in Durg, designed by ant studio as a contemporary residential community that balances efficiency, affordability, and quality of living. Spread across five residential blocks with 120 housing units, the project comprises seven-storey towers on stilts, crowned with penthouse residences and shared terrace spaces.
The architectural language of the project is intentionally minimal and understated, responding to the organic nature of community living while prioritizing functionality and spatial efficiency. The design emphasizes natural light, cross ventilation, and open common areas to create healthier and more comfortable living environments for residents.
A defining feature of the project is the integration of art and landscape within the residential fabric. Distinct community nodes, including the Banyan Tree Mural and sculptural entrance features, introduce identity and vibrancy to the development. The façade incorporates perforated jaali screens that conceal services while functioning as vertical green elements, visually connecting the landscaped ground plane with terrace gardens above.
Terraces are envisioned as shared green spaces that encourage interaction and urban farming, transforming the housing complex into a layered ecosystem where architecture, landscape, and community life coexist seamlessly.
