Salaam Balaak Trust is a Non-Profit Organization that works with street children who have been abandoned, orphaned or have run away from their homes. NGO provides them with nurturing and safe environments where they may re-experience a lost childhood and grow up as productive and healthy members of society.
Project brief
The brief was to look into the difficult lives of children with extreme mindsets, suicidal tendencies, addictions and so on. By design we were asked to find solutions for children who hurt themselves or others. We formulated anexperiential brief towards the design of the orphanage, and improvised the functional aspects of the building accordingly.
